Pressure Generating and Regulating System

for your pneumatic setup

The demo system that we present here generates and regulates pressurised air above and below ambient pressure. It is fully portable and requires only a power source and an electronic control connection. This means that you can test a pneumatic system in your lab without having a pressure connection system installed at your facility.

Pneumatic actuation is an elegant solution for, for example, controlling fluid flow on disposable cartridges and in perfusion systems for organoids and organs-on-chip (OoC). It allows liquid management without being in contact with the liquids. This means having an actuation system that is contamination-free and can reliably be used over and over again without sterilization.

As soon as the system is connected to power, the inbuilt pump will generate a pre-set low and high pressure relative to the ambient pressure which can be anywhere between -0.8 bar and 1.5 bar. When the output pressure of the system reaches the pre-set deviation threshold, the pump is activated again and the pressure reservoirs are refilled automatically.

Depending on the cartridge materials, reagent reservoir type and reagent viscosity, lower or higher pressure ranges might be needed to efficiently enable reagent supply. To allow this, the pressure regulating system can be pre-programmed so that the output pressures change over time according to the requirements of your assay setup.

      Main specifications:

      • Dimensions: 150 x 150 x 105 mm
      • Low pressure limit below ambient: -0.8 bar
      • High pressure limit above ambient: 1.5 bar
      • (Customizable to other pressure ranges too)
      • 24 V input voltage
      • USB-C electronic connection
      • External barrel jack for power: 5.5mm x 2.5mm

We are glad to discuss creating a pressure regulating system with higher or lower pressure limits that fit your pneumatic requirements. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us about a mobile system to enable pneumatic system testing in your lab!
